Background Scleroderma (SSc) is a multi-system autoimmune disease, characterized by vasculopathy and fibrosis of the skin internal organs, associated with substantial morbidity disability. Patients SSc commonly require considerable healthcare resources resulting in significant economic impact. Objectives The purpose this systematic review to provide narrative summary impact resource utilization SSc. Methods MEDLINE EMBASE were searched without language restriction from inception January 20 th , 2021. Studies included if they provided information regarding total, direct, indirect medical costs including medication, diagnostic test, assistive devices costs. cost complications was additionally collected. Included observational studies had risk bias assessments through Joanna Briggs Institute cross-sectional case series checklists, Newcastle-Ottawa Cohort Case-Control study scales. Results search retrieved 1777 studies, which 33 representing cross-sectional, 10 cohort, 3 case-control studies. used various methods calculating prevalence-based cost-of-illness approach, bottom-up analysis, humanistic health units analyses. Overall scleroderma total annual ranged USD $14,959-$23,268 USA, CAD$10,673-$18,453 Canada, €4,607-€30,797 Europe, AUD $7,060 $11,607 Oceania. Annual for interstitial lung disease pulmonary arterial hypertension $31,285-$55,446 $44,454-$63,320, respectively. Conclusion Globally, represents high patient systemic burden.
